That was inspiring- and tiring, in that we get a glimpse of the human potential, but only a glimpse. Potential is ot a gift- it a never ending labor.

The rest as they say, is up to us.

Prejudices know no boundaries, we are all subject to the dysfunctions those with an agenda or ulterior motives promote. The trick is to keep our eyes on the ball- that potential that knows no bounds.

THIS. There's potential in all of us, but the task of evolving isn't an easy one. Too many people seem to want an easy fix, especially here where we're used to so much convenience and everything fast, fast, fast: Buy this book, sign up for this seminar, attend this retreat, and in six weeks or less you'll attain enlightenment!

It's bittersweet knowing that we can, but we don't.

There's the story about Rabbi Akivah, who would begin prayers (solitary) in one corner of the room and finish at the opposite end. Since we assume he had good technique, no one knows how this happened. I would not be surprised if Miki found a spark in that story.

I wouldn't be surprised either. There are sparks all around us, sometimes in unexpected places. Anyone can find them if s/he is seeking with the heart. Miki is seeking with his heart.

You made a beautiful Page. The decorated inset quote is so nice.

Thanks! Much as I like LGF's eminently usable design, it's sort of on the masculine side, so every once in a while I get the urge to soften it up a little. ;)

Right. Out-geeking Charles is feminine. Got it. ;-)
