Miles Davis - Call It Anything - ‘Live at the Isle of Wight’ - August 29th, 1970
Live at The Isle of Wight Festival, August 29th 1970.
Miles Davis - Trumpet, Gary Bartz - Tenor and Soprano Sax, Dave Holland - Bass,
Chick Corea - Fender Rhodes, Keith Jarrett - Organ, Jack DeJohnette - Drums & Airto Moreira - Percussion.
This is the concert that got me into Miles Davis music. Specially during his electric period. Like many innovators he was crucified by the critics yet his first album of this genre which we call today as Jazz Fusion named BITCHES BREW remained as the best selling Jazz album of its time. Like one of his album titles….he was MILES AHEAD of everyone.
