You need to rework the embed, it's not showing up

I copied the embed code directly from YouTube. I've included a link to the video.

Paliwood just got busted, but will any news agency in the UK care? I hope so, but fear not.

Why are you so upset?

After all, they meant well.

Faking news is propaganda.

I went to the link and liked this counter-comment:

"I’m a big supporter of Honest Reporting but, really, once in a while it may be better to just sit down and have a cup of tea rather than spout off.
“Recycled an old file photo that is factually unrelated to the story”? – Er, that’s what file photos are for! Are you suggesting that a brand new, unused photo be used for every single story published and that, once used, it be burned?

And “factually unrelated”? So any photo that’s used must be of the actual people or events mentioned in the story it illustrates? That’s a strictly literal approach that flies in the face of how any form of communication works.

Yes, expose bias and how the media works but don’t hysterically over extend yourself. "

This is the kind of sleazy manipulation one would expect (and get) from FOX news.
And there is no way i would ever believe they didn't choose this photo for propaganda.

re: #6 Destro

Of course you liked it. I'd be surprised if you didn't.

The comment is of course full of it. But that shouldn't matter.

Do you think the substance of the story is true? That Israel routinely abuses Palestinian Youth?

re: #6 Destro

And do you think that the picture is proof of that claim?

re: #9 Bob Levin

And do you think that the picture is proof of that claim?

There is no evidence the photo made the claims the video is making. The whole fake outrage has to do with the "perception" of the photo not any claim of the photo.

You know which comment I did not like? This one from another commentator

Nothing wrong with the picture.
Wild animals should be kept behind bars.
Israel should stop apologizing for protecting itself.
Jewish kids would be killed on the spot without mercy in Arab countries. Adam 4:11 pm Jun 29, 2012

So I hope you don't like that comment just like I don't like it.

re: #11 Destro

My point was, that comments under any article are not considered as support, one way or the other for any argument. You may as well just claim the comment as your own, as you have.

So would you care to own that comment, a bit further, saying that 'this comment reflects the way I think about the matter'?

As for bringing in another quote, are you implying that the second quote is one that I would agree with?

This is a remarkable tricky technique of discussion, not only trying to put words in my mouth, but also completely deflecting from the original post, about creating false images to buttress completely false claims. It's not dissimilar to what you are doing by bringing up the comments section of the story as the actual story.

Why don't you make a separate post about that comment, if you feel that's the most important part of the article?

re: #10 Destro

Could you rephrase that, hopefully in English?

re: #12 Bob Levin

The comment I chose (because I found it sensible) was an even keeled response by a commentator. You saw my acceptance of that comment as some sort of ant-Israeli or anti-Jewish bias. In fact anytime someone disagrees (and usually these types are Americans) with anything Israel does they are quickly knee jerked attacked by this American movement (which is funny since they don't live in Israel for the most part. At least I put my money where my mouth is and leave hell hole that is the USA at least half a year at a time).

Why should I critique Israel less than I do my own USA, a nation I consider to have committed war crimes and human rights violations and which I condemn for its adherence to polices born of religious superstitions over science factualism.

I will respect your position on Israel (and others like you) when you are just as critical as you are supportive of that nation.

re: #14 Destro

The article posted was about deliberate media attempts to distort the current events in Israel. That is the subject that we are discussing, or should be. I saw your acceptance of that comment as changing the subject, avoiding the issue. I'm not sure that you know enough about Israel to criticize it fairly--which is the point of the media distortion, to give people just enough falseness to try to hurt people, or to support the hurting of people, that they really don't know.

When this distortion takes place within the context of Jewish history, then this leads to severe problems.

And I replied back that the comment made on that website telling you all to chill and you are overly sensative was a pretty good response to your 'outrage'.

re: #16 Destro

Some people just have a visceral response to those purposely distorting the truth--for the ultimate purpose of genocide. Real outrage. It's not time to chill. But thanks for the advice.
