2008 was a lifetime ago

For about 5% of the US population.

Stock market more than doubled. Profits soaring. Economy, while still weak, away from the edge if the cliff.

I don't get it. Is personal tax rate driving this? The GOP has not been good to private industry, yet we see this? Someone explain it to me.

While that was an interesting and informative piece, it doesn't address my question. CEOs are supposed to be somewhat (at least) intelligent, and aware of, even at a basic level, finance and markets (again, even if only when affecting their own stock prices). They have to see the differencees of 2008-09 vs. '11-12. They have to see market and financial indicators and trends. It's as if they're ignorant of facts and voting against their companys' best interests solely for personal favored tax rate gains.

I'm missing the Why here. It makes no sense to me. Teabaggers voting against their own interest I get. Fear, brainwashing, etc. makes them vote as they do. CEOs should have reasoning ability. Why are they voting against their companies interests (as that's how it appears to me).
