This is important because this "Bacile" character said "Jews/Israelis" were behind this movie and it turns out that is not the case. That is reprehensible.

Hah, I'm not surprised it's a Coptic bigot that's responsible for this. Many of them in the West have so much hatred that they are willing to start a clash of civilization as a means to settling scores with Muslims. Only sad part is that the Copts living in Egypt pay a dear price for the extremism of their brethren in the diaspora.

re: #2 electrotek

The oppression of Copts by elements within Egypt's Muslim community leads to this hate by some - emphasis - some - Copts. The Copts of course should not return the hate they suffer per their New Testament but that to me is besides the point.

To me this shows how minorities in the USA can manipulate events to draw America into their overseas struggles. It has been this way since the Irish used to agitate (and still do) for the IRA and can be seen with other American ethnic groups as well.

re: #3 Destro

I know a minority of them have so much hatred towards Muslims that I even encountered a few of them who praised the actions of Anders Breivik and wished he would have killed some Muslim kids (they expressed no sorrow over the deaths of Norwegian teens). These same Copts also venerate Serbian war criminals and thought Muslim women deserved to be raped in the war. I am surprised I didn't punch them in the face, but that wouldn't accomplish anything other than jail time though.

Now of course, not all Copts believe this, as there are many I have encountered outside of America who are fine believing Christians, but the ones in America have a serious issue with anti-Muslim extremism that really needs to be addressed before it screws them over. Because last I checked, they're not white and they are easily mistaken as Arab by the wingnuts.

I just watched this trailer - it's pitiful in every way, but what's really interesting is that every piece of dialogue that makes reference to Islamic terrorism, the Koran, Muhammed and Islam has been overdubbed, replacing the original dialogue spoken by the actors.

This guy is a dangerous fraud who is all about putting innocent people in danger.

re: #4 electrotek

You did kind of paint Copts with a broad brush and some Muslims, not all, do target Copts in Egypt and sadly, now Copts come to the USA and target Muslims from here. It's a never ending cycle.

re: #5 Aye Pod

It is the fraud aspect that is the worst part of this.

If Nakoula is indeed responsible for making the movie and the Youtube account is his, he is very likely going to find himself back in front of a judge, if not ultimately returning to prison for violating his probation.

Nakoula, who talked guardedly about his role, pleaded no contest in 2010 to federal bank fraud charges in California and was ordered to pay more than $790,000 in restitution. He was also sentenced to 21 months in federal prison and ordered not to use computers or the Internet for five years without approval from his probation officer.
