Broken link, I believe.

In any event, while there are extremists of course, the American Muslim community is far less likely to be incited to violence of any kind.

Yeah. We could conceivably get a single worked-up actor. Not a mob.

Depends on the producer.

Ditto, I don't really see it. I don't recall anyone here flipping out over the Qur'an burning pastor (or any of the other numerous desecrations). American Muslims hear negative things about Islam every day, so most of us are inured to all but the most egregious stuff. The film is disgusting, but it's also pretty pathetic.

Of course, there was the little armchair Jihadi snot who threatened that cartoonist over her drawing and the subsequent protest day where everyone was supposed to draw their own. I don't know how serious he was, but the 25-year federal prison sentence he got is gonna keep him busy for a while. Idiot threw his entire life away at age 20, and for what? *shakes head*

Anyway, so far the Muslims I know who've even bothered to mention the movie have been like, "Yeah, that stupid film—*eye roll, yawn*—the whole thing sounds like it was contrived by a band of dunces."

I agree as well. My Muslim friends in Germany (Sufis like myself) said the film was "laughable". One of them, Ali, who's quite a film buff, said the production values "Makes Ed Wood (the director) look like James Cameron in comparison."
