Disappointing.

Whatever one thinks of Netanyahu, these soldiers have to be punished for this. Soldiers must not show contempt for their superiors, and in a parliamentary system that includes the prime minister.

F*** their disrespect toward Bibi. The reason they felt that way is the real problem.

Suggestion for IDF: The soldiers upset about not getting to kill should be asked what makes them different from the terrorists who fired rockets into cities. If they start to answer, interrupt them to say that the question was rhetorical. If they still don't get the hint, consider discharging them from service before they can do something far worse than a photo.

Had the IDF gone in, lots of civilians would've died. Hypothetically, if no other recourse had been available to stop Hamas from firing rockets, so be it. Civilized people are glad that wasn't the case. Only savages are disappointed by non-escalation.

Wrong. They can do that outside of the army. This sends the wrong message on a bunch of different levels. First being disrespecting the decision of the PM. It also sends the wrong message to the Gazans. Not that they should go to jail but something like confinement to quarters and further disciplinary actions.
