Yes but, as they explain, it is not really a temperature “below” absolute zero. It is a state that does not comply with standard entropy conditions, but also does not violate any laws.

Not exactly. A law is what is unexplained. This is an extension of theories (being what explain laws) which violates no laws.

Didn’t scientist also discover that neutrinos werre travelling faster than the speed of light until they recalibrated their GPS’s? Tune in in a few weekd and see if this thing holds up.

This is actually not new… physicists have been doing this since 1951. There’s a good non-techical explanation here.
