The thing with Pat Robertson is… every day is April Fools.

This has to be a joke that old cynical Pat is pulling on his dimwitted followers. Resurrections are commonplace in Africa? The blind are regaining their sight? Really? How come Fox News hasn’t told us about any of this?

I think Pat made it perfectly clear that he’s giving the finger to his audience with his “Unemployed, out of money? Just send me $20 a month anyway. The baby Jesus will love you all the more for it” scam.

It’s technically true in a way. The more educated society becomes the more likely unexplained phenomena are to be investigated and examined rationally instead of explained simplistically as miracles or curses caused by supernatural forces.

Now there’s an incentive to remain ignorant. //

“Why am I suffering?” Pat; “You have an education. Here. Take this rock and beat your children with it so they may see Gods benevolence.” Pat sleeps the sleep of those who have no conscience.

This kind of proves that to be a person of faith the religious leaders need to have you be ignorant and easily fooled.
