Great shot from beneath the water, what camera did you use to get that?

ahem.

“… while I set up the GoPro to give us a never seen before view of gold being karated from 24k to 14k.”

So the guy gives you a compliment on your post and your response is to basically give him shit for not translating “never seen before view” to “underwater”.

Classy.

hey, np, I should have heard that but I was paying attention to two things. I rarely mind information or corrections. If it’s layered in snark, then I might give complaint, but heck, it’s Friday. FRRIIIIIIIII AAYYYYY AAAAAYYY DAY!

I should mention I will be hosting a refinery tour on Ustream. April 27th, we will use the GoPro (I hope) to webcast the actual gold refining process from torch to chemistry back to torch and casting a ring from that gold.
So for the curious just tune in. If the wireless to I.P. weirdness gets too thick we will use an HD Logitech webcam instead.

Here is that link, I might have time to page it that day but I may be a bit busy.

Very cool. Not something we get to see every day.

re: #8 CuriousLurker

The event starts at 11:00 but I expect to broadcast refining from about 11:30 but this could wiggle quite a bit. In any case we will be making a documentary about the whole thing that will be available to my friends that ask. It’s going to be interesting to host this. I feel for SatTv these days with all this media technology.

Thanks— I’m assuming that’s PST. If I miss it for some reason, you’ll be hearing from me. ;)

Cool. I understand jewelry from the stone end pretty well but seeing gold being made into casting grain I never saw before.
