Don’t know whether or not B&H still has any left in stock, but I lucked into a return of the Sigma 19mm/30mm lens bundle, where 199 bucks gets you both lenses, which is like paying for one and getting the other for free. It actually induced me to go ahead and order a Sony Nex 7. I’m pretty sure Sigma built those lenses for all the major brands, including 4/3 cameras, so if you’re looking for two of the sharpest lenses that fit the Nex system, or really cheap, good lenses for another mirrorless system, have fun1

That’s a pretty good deal, though it’s only for the Sony system. I didn’t see a comparable bundle for Canon.

I just picked up a new flash to replace one that all but died on me.

Sigma EF 610 DG. Most everyone is selling it for $165 with a $30 rebate.

Adorama had a bundle where you got not only the flash, but a rechargable battery kit and a soft flash diffuser (about $30 in extra value).

The EF610 DG super is $225 and includes the same kit.

I think the only real difference between the two flashes is a couple of settings that I’ll likely never ever use.

I’m also looking for a new tripod since my current one - a Manfrotto Digi has issues with the leg locks. They have cracked. Got them fixed once by the manufacturer, but it happened again. Other than this issue, it’s been a great lightweight and stable tripod for fieldwork (and if it’s too heavy, you’re not going to lug it into the field on hikes).

I’ve been starting to look for a replacement, but so far haven’t had much luck finding the right combination of price and features - looking for a tripod that extends to close to 6 feet - to avoid stooping. and one that collapses down to a reasonable size. I’ll probably trek to B&H to see their gear on display to get a better sense.

Almost pulled the trigger on a Benro, but it wasn’t stable by a long shot.

Oh, and before I forget - the Adorama flash kits are available via Amazon. That’s how I found it initially.
