And I have no doubt in my little brain that at least one (if not more) religious right / conservative sites will call this a persecution against Christians, since that was the REAL reason Tebow was let go.

Waiting for Pat Robertson to cry that the only reason he was cut was because he’s a Christian. Tebow really isn’t a bad guy and I don’t have anything against him personally but his fans act like he can do no wrong because he’s a Christian. I’m sorry but Tim Tebow’s not the first nor will he be the last guy that’s a devout Christian in sports. Tebow’s father is also a bigot too against anyone who’s not an evangelical.

Jeeze, SI, there was no call for that level of hostility. There are plenty of evangelicals who are malefactors, but Tim Tebow isn’t one of them. Show some respect for someone who doesn’t act like an ass.
