Different day, same shit. Cept, if Bush were still in power, Fox would not be whining about it.

I am withholding judgement for now.

I am assuming that there was a warrant, and the AP was notified because of that warrant. I don’t know if that assumption is correct, though.

If this resulted from the story they wrote about the foiled terrorist plot, there may have been a massive national security breach. I think I would like to know how the AP got this story, and if there is a leak of CIA information potentially putting CIA assets in jeopardy. I am sorry, just because there is some juicy story out there, that does not mean that we have to put our national security assets in jeopardy.

I remember that Fox went totally apeshit about this story when it came out saying that the Administration leaked it for good publicity, to make them look good, blah blah blah (the usual Fox outrage du jour).

If this is for any other purpose, I will join the screaming masses.

So, because we don’t know the full story on why this took place, I can’t give any kind of informed support or outrage.

Yoar doin’ outrage wrong—it’s about volume, not information.

AP is not Fox. Nor will it be easily forgiving as MSNBC is wont to be. Hearing some of this was congressional gallery phones, which are used by congress and the press. So congressional calls likely got swept up in the dragnet. Early word says it was a terror info leak investigation. Some think that means stop asking questions. I disagree. time to dig into this and see exactly what actually happened.

I agree with you, but let’s throw this out there…what if someone from Congress leaked a CIA operation? Is a congresscritter exempt from being prohibited from disseminating national secrets?
