Man Who Stabbed Taxi Driver Pleads Guilty to Hate Crimes - NY1
A man who slashed a cab driver inside a taxi in August 2010 has pleaded guilty to attempted murder as a hate crime and assault as a hate crime, according to the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Prosecutors say Michael Enright, 24, entered the cab of Ahmed Sharif on the East Side of Manhattan, asked Sharif if he was Muslim, and then stabbed the driver in the neck, face and arms when he said yes.
