Well if that doesn’t provide the necessary verification, I don’t know what would. Although Gomert didn’t say it, I bet those broken-hearted constituents also saw the crab buyers go outside, get in their Cadillacs, and drive home to enjoy the feast.

I assume Gohmert is vaguely referencing the guy buying lobster and steaks with a stolen EBT card.
So if someone steals your wallet and buys something with the money in it, your employer should quit paying you.

And oh yeah, if a poor person wants to have something really good to eat once in a while and manages to budget for it, it’s OK with me.
