Why did he feel the need to get out of his car and stalk Martin after being explicitly told not to? Apparently Martin had no right of self defense in the state of Florida.

Contradictory evidence created reasonable doubt. Somebody was lying, but who? From what I’m hearing, the jury had no way to know. Odds are we’ll never know what really happened.

But yeah, Zimmerman should’ve stayed the hell back in the first place. If you call 911 and then don’t listen to the emergency operator, you’re a f***ing moron. Nobody had to die that night.

Unfortunately, tho, a 911 operator cannot give a lawful command, so Zimmerman had no oigation to obey.

Stand your ground really must be repealed, because in any violent confrontation in which there aren’t any witnesses, any death can be explained away by self defense, and the survivor has the enormous advantage of the other side of the story being worm food.

That is simply fucked up.

Who said anything about lawful commands? I’m wondering why someone would call 911 if they’re just going to do as they please anyway. Its stupid.

“But when seconds count, the police are minutes away.” If thats what you believe, then why call at all? Wouldn’t it be a waste of precious seconds by that logic?

It makes zero f***ing sense to call for help and then not listen to those you called.

No argument here. Plus from what I’ve heard, the courts uphold “stand your ground” selectively, possibly based on racism.
