And instead of fulfilling his proper role in society by playing with blocks and brightly colored bits of string in an asylum for those who deny reality, Barton has power and influence with the so-con right in the US.

If the Bible has all of the inerrant answers, including issues of health and disease, why do any true believers need modern medical care? Would it be too much to ask all of them to forego health care and just accept Divine Providence? Or is their faith not quite that staunch?

It would save a lot of money and resources….

If he had his way, there would be no science, only theology.

it’s so reassuring to know that if I ever contract Leprosy that I can be cured by killing a couple of doves and schmearing me with the blood.

The GOP elite are outdoing themselves today with the total crazy. I mean, even more than usual.

Is it because they’ve all become giddy thinking that finally they’re going to have something to impeach Obama over?

How would Barton explain the measles outbreak at that church in Texas? Did the kids contract measles because prayer didn’t work or was it because some of their parents refused to have them inoculated? I’d love to hear him explain why church leaders saw the need to host clinics for measles immunizations after the measles outbreak began. According to his way of thinking, isn’t it a sin for the church leaders not to continue to insist that prayer will stop the measles outbreak from spreading?

Really, really anxious — I mean, I honestly can’t wait — for the day when science confirms talking snakes.

The sun also rises, and the sun sets and he returns to the place from which he arose. Eccl. 1:5

I want to tell you that those are some pretty wild celestial mechanics. Can’t wait for Barton to prove that one out. And why is the sun a Him anyway?

He should devote the rest of his useless life trying to find Noah’s Ark!
