Oh, racists just gotta hate on someone, don’t they? If they can’t do so proudly and with conviction, it’s an affront to their Jesus or something.

I can’t figure out what the fucktarded logic of racist rightwingers is anymore.

I wish Jindal would shut the fuck up. Really, that’s his response to this? Whining about “political correctness”, tell you what Bobby. How about someone goes on TV and call you a dothead elephant worshipper? Would you like that? No, I bet not, so maybe you’ll understand why gay people don’t like Phil Robertson equating being attracted to members of the same sex to animal fucking.

If Jindal runs, the comedy would be brilliant. I don’t think there’s ANY way he could win nationally.

I have a few Facebook “friends” who are crying about poor ‘ol Phil and posting Cruz links and other open sewers. I can’t say anything because I would forever slam the door on years old “relationships” and family in laws, although I’m getting much closer. I may choose to do it in face to face for the real effect to take place. I’m getting my fill. You probably do the same thing. I have gay friends and gay relatives and it makes me very angry when an asshole like Phil is defended and his remarks are framed as “free speech” and he’s the one being wronged. So the defenders of Phil and the Evangelicals can now proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with Putin and point with pride at this. Is that what you want? A vote for the GOP is a vote for Phil and Cruz and all the assholes of the world.

I don’t think so either. Of course, when that would inevitably happen, the right would claim that the reason it happened was LIBERALS ARE THE REAL RACISTS!!!!!!!! even though I imagine Jindal would get his ass handed to him in the Indian-American community since he prefers to speak the language and rhetoric of an know-nothing asshole.

WTF? The First Amendment is solely about protecting your speech from the government. It has absolutely nothing to do with the consequences of your speech in matters of employment or personal relationships. How could any of these assholes swear to uphold and defend a document that they seem to know nothing about?

“I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment.”

Ok wingnuts, one more time, with feeling. This is not a first amendment issue here!
Please see the above comment by Higgs Boson’s Mate.

And TV networks have never “believed” in the first amendment (whatever the hell that means) If he means, you use to be able to say whatever the %&%$# you wanted to on TV, that is absolutely not true. LOL!

“I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment.”

Yeah, just like the First Amendment on talk radio, where they never cut off someone or refuse to take their call, and then never attack them once they’ve been silenced by the host.

If only TV worked like that we’d still have freedum in this country.

The sad fact of the matter is conservatives seem to care more about what some bigoted old coot has to say about gays than the actual pressing issues to this country. That’s really sad.

A friend of mine contrasted this to conservatives’ treatment of the Dixie Chicks after they criticized President Bush.

Maybe if the Dixie Chicks called Bush a dogfucker, they would have defended them. But yeah to me, it’s amusing that conservatives did everything possible to ruin the DC’s career for a comment they made about an individual. Phil Robertson likens an entire group of people to animal screwers and they gladly jump on his boat. I thought conservatives were trying to at least in public show more maturity about gays, I guess not.

Set aside his pig-ignorant comments about homosexuality; start asking these people if they think his comments about black people and slavery are representative of Christianity?

Indigenous Americans Ruled Democratically Long Before the U.S. DidDemocracy: it was older and more widespread than we thought. At the Oconee site, called Cold Springs, artifacts were excavated before the valley became an aquatic playground. Now, new older-than-expected radiocarbon dates for those museum-held finds push back the origin ...
