MARK LEVIN: GOP Should Pass Resolution Declaring NULL & VOID All Unconstitutional Presidential Acts
Some derp from The Great One:
There’s something the House of Representatives actually can do. …Congress is a co-equal branch of the federal government and the House of Representatives is a co-equal branch of the United States Senate. The House of Representatives should pass a resolution. If the president of the United States can unconstitutionally assert powers he is not granted under the Constitution and do so repeatedly and brazenly, and send his staff out to the mainstream media outlets to do the same thing, then one body of our government must act.
And as John Boehner is fond of saying…we’re only one half of one third of the federal government. And yet, you are part of a co-equal branch. And there is something you can do Mr. Boehner. And there is something you can do, Republicans in the House of Representatives.
I want to recommend, since you will not use the power of the purse -and even more you won’t use the power of impeachment— you pass a resolution that says something to this effect:
Whereas the president of the United States has asserted executive powers not granted to him under the United States Constitution, the United States House of Representatives hereby asserts, as an equal governing institution, that all such acts by the president of the United States are null and void. The House of Representatives further asserts that no federal department, federal official, or federal employee is authorized to appropriate any sum of taxpayer dollars in furtherance of any unconstitutional act by the president of the United States.
I will go out on the furthest limb: this will not apply to any executive action taken by George W. Bush, George HW Bush, or Ronald Reagan.
There is more than ten minutes of audio, where The Great One’s fingernails on a blackboard voice lays out his case.
