If the “admired dead” are in a position to do anything, I would hope they have better things to do than hang in the ether and approve things on Earth.

No sensible person would ever be happy betraying the approval of the admired dead just to win some passing approval in the here and now.

Typical for Brooks. Mindless traditionalism dressed up real pretty with lots of verbiage to distract from said mindless traditionalism.

Brooks has been a fruitcake over all the years I have read him. Sometimes, but rarely, he writes something good. Mostly, he writes tripe that wouldn’t be out of place on Breitbart. His writing does however have more finesse than the Breitbart monkeys usually do,.
