Four Women Who Received Transplanted Wombs Have Embryos Implanted in Them
A doctor in Sweden has released information to the general public saying that four women who received transplanted uteruses have all had embryos implanted into them in attempts to become pregnant. He did not reveal if any of the women had been successful as of this time. In total, there were nine Swedish women who received new wombs since the year 2012, but two females had to have the transplants removed due to suffering from complications.
and this…
In a research report that was printed up last week, Brannstrom and his associates explained the procedures that were used to move the nine wombs from donors to the women and stated there ended up being fairly mild rejection occurrences in four of the patients. He then stated that the transplanted wombs would be taken out of the women after they had achieved a total of two pregnancies.
It is unknown if blood flow to the uterus would increase and change in the same way as in a normal pregnancy, stated Dr. Yacoub Khalaf, who is a director of an assisted conception unit at a hospital in London. He added that it was a very good sign that the embryo transfers had been done, but only through a live birth will real validation happen that something like this has worked.
proof that science moves through time at a faster pace than ethics….
