I hope the President is making it known to Turkey’s leader that this would be a really BAD idea. If he fails to do so, this will send the worst possible message to the world. Turkey is a NATO country and we are the leaders of NATO. Obama must do this one right.

Clearly, god help us all should a single civilian ship manned by civilians pass through the blockade and give aid to civilians. Obviously, if this horrendous act of barbarism happens, then all of Israel will be destroyed, and then ZOMBIE HITLER WILL RISE AND TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!

Howabout this: still keep the blockade, inspect the ship’s cargo as they enter, and then supervise the unloading of the cargo and transport to Gaza. Weapons get separated and destroyed, food, medical supplies, civilian items pass, if the ship has a nuke on it, and 500 tons of food…food goes through.
If the Israelis demand to fully enforce the blockade, they’re essentially admitting that its not entirely about stopping the flow of weapons. If Hamas demands a completely open transit, they’re essentially admitting its not entirely about getting civilian aid…

That is perfectly reasonable …. in fact, it has been Israel’s policy in the past. But Erdogan and the IHH are not humanitarians …. I believe they are looking for a confrontation.
