I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that people in Alabama are still deeply superstitious in 2015. Other states aren’t much better. We’re exceptionally clueless for a western nation, and love childish superstition.

Catholic church—1 (large)
Synagogue—1 (old, tiny)
Mosque—1 (new, tiny)
Other Christian—245

As for the action, it seems like an imposition of religion where there shouldn’t be one.
