North Carolina Man’s Obituary Asks Readers Not to Vote for Hillary Clinton
A North Carolina man’s obituary asked two things of friends and family: instead of sending flowers for the funeral, give the money to charity. And don’t vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
WSOC-TV reported that the family of 81-year-old Larry Upright added the political message to the obituary announcing the Kannapolis man’s death and burial this week.
“Larry Darrell Upright, 81, passed away Monday, 13 April 2015 at CMC-NorthEast,” the obituary read. “Darrell was born 15 August 1933 in Cabarrus County to the late Arthur and Mary Ruth Upright.”
It concluded: “In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shriners Hospital for Children at 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
“Also, the family respectfully asks that you do not vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016. RIP Grandaddy.”

I don’t plan to check out any time soon, but just in case, you may add a message to my obit urging readers not to vote for Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz or Rand Paul.
