Apple Releases Boot Camp 6 to Allow Windows 10 Installation on Macs
A new version of Boot Camp software was rolled out by Apple this week, to give Mac users the ability to install Microsoft’s newest operating system - Windows 10 - on their computers.
Apple’s Boot Camp dual-boot tool allows a Mac computer to run Apple’s OS X as well as Microsoft’s Windows OS in two distinct partitions. The tool lets Mac users to load the OS of their choice, once their computer has booted. Users can also share documents from one OS with the other OS.
The latest version of the Boot Camp tool released by Apple is Boot Camp 6. It enables the installation of 64-bit versions of Windows 10 OS on Mac computers which run the Mac OS X ‘Yosemite’ version. As such, the Mac computers which are supported by Boot Camp 6 include all the newer — 2012 and later — models of iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro.
