Sunday Afternoon Macro-Tiny Orchid Taenlophyllum
Every once in a while a really unusual flower blooms here at the Worlds Smallest Greenhouse™. It’s the size of a bell mans hotel cart. Used a tripod of course to get these. This is the kind of shot that tests the sharpness and challenges any lens / sensor combo. I had the chance to spend an hour playing around with the angles and setup. Color balance is a serious challenge too given the kinda oddball spectrum or the grow lights and some daylight coming in to have a little influence. Grow lights have 2 spectral peaks so which do you account for? The ruler is mm scale. Updated after more post work on the RAW files —Still looking to get a tad sharper too. Might need a heavier tripod. the shutter was on delay to avoid movement from pushing the shutter button.
Late edit, this guy is about an inch across.
Lil easier to get a nice macro shot of a flower 20mm across rather than 4mm, It’s Orchid macro day here pic.twitter.com/0SgpZR30ZP
