Goleta Beach Storm & Wetlands at Sunset
I saw this little storm coming down the coast today. Given the basic direction and timing, I saw a chance to get behind the storm right at sunset. I hoped to get in position for sunset, dramatic clouds int he sky and maybe a rainbow in virga. So boom, out in the truck by 1:00. Drove up through rain, a look at the front and then through the back edge. Wound up in this nice wetlands at Goleta Beach, which I have posted from before. This time the sky and light were my best friends. Even the local waterfowl stepped up to help.
It’s been a really rough week, had to get out for a break. Sometimes stress provides a little kick in the creative spark. Today my eye was catching the ripples in the light, the ripples in the water and what i took to be some great color.
I hope you all enjoy one or another of these. Some are here only some at my FB. All at my G+ page.
Meta- Canon 7DII, 400mm Super tele. Cloudy or daylight balance. All shot raw and run through PS, with ordinary crop, color and contrast adjustments. Nothing composite or layered. Pretty much as shot.
