Man Arrested At Calgary Airport With Handgun In Carry-on
Calgary Police have arrested a man trying to board a plane with a gun in his carry-on luggage at the Calgary International Airport Tuesday afternoon.
Pre-boarding screening officers at the airport called police after finding a “suspicious object” in the carry-on.
That suspicious object turned out to be an unloaded, small-calibre handgun, as well as several round of ammunition.
Police believe the man was flying to Saskatoon.
30-year-old Ziad Mohamad Jeha is facing four weapons-related charges.
And police say he is known to them.
