How a bunch of men mostly old enough to have plumbing issues can believe in this ‘intelligent design’ tripe is beyond comprehension.

The answer, of course, is that they don’t believe in ID at all. What they believe in is their version of biblical literalism, and they also believe that ID is a useful mask to put on when talking outside the tribe of true believers.
