I don’t like starting off a thread with something so depressing, but here it is anyway. It’s not your imagination that most summers are probably hotter than they used to be (if you have any age on you at all) and that things will probably get worse.

The message of the report is that climate change is already happening across the country.

“Climate change is not a distant threat, it is already affecting every region of the country and key sectors of the economy. This national climate assessment is the loudest and clearest alarm bell to date,” White House science advisor John Holdren said in a phone call with reporters.

Climate change is real, it’s human-made, and to deny it is just down right irresponsible. Let’s hope it’s just not Catch-22.
