In an ideal world photographers would politely say, “I’m just not comfortable with this, and don’t feel I would do the best possible job. May I recommend my friend so-and-so to do your wedding?” And the happy couple would go check out so-and-so.
That isn’t the way the world is.

Do you feel the same about a baker refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same sex couple? Or is it just because a photographer is actually sort of a part of the festivities that you exempt them. (I hope that doesn’t sound snarky. It is not intended to.)
