I prefer to think of us as a nation WITH imbeciles.

My personal view is that we are reaping the consequences of all the cuts to educatio that started under Reagan in the 80’s: we have a general public and electorate that is unaware how science works, how economics works, how to interpret statistics, how government works, what has happened in American history and piifully unaware of the rest of the world, its religions and history.
