Chuck C. is pushing the “star wars” line already, I see. Never mind that SDI was one of the biggest right wing defense fantasy hoaxes ever pulled on the American public. Carter was absolutely right to criticize this ridiculous doomed idea.

About the only good thing about SDI that can be said is that the concept scared the shit out of the Soviets. At least until people actually tried to make it work and realized quickly how comically daft the whole idea was.
