Yes, but they have a tricky balancing act to do: If they push really hard, they might get a bunch of tax cuts passed (maybe) and healthcare messed up (or worse) but then they will be hammered in 2018. When do they figure out that’s not worth it? Or maybe they think it is … Trump would take it, what with a yuuuuuge personal tax break and a good chance that the estate tax will not soon be reinstated after it goes.

I don’t know if you have noticed, but he has a bit of a gambling streak in him. It’s right next door to the yellow streak, and just below the river of stupid.

Exactly. They see no need to remove him until at least 2018…and even then they will not get hammered, I just expect the Dems to do marginally better in the mid-terms than they usually do.
