Well fuck, a wildfire just kicked off a mile from my house.

Multiple brush fires were burning in the Simi Valley and Moorpark area on Friday afternoon, and some residents were being asked to shelter in place.

One blaze was in 500 block of Rustic Hills Drive, near homes in the Wood Ranch area Simi Valley, the Ventura County Fire Department stated on Twitter about 3:45 p.m.

Simi Valley police called the fire a “dangerous situation” for residents, and warned people to stay away. Residents were told to shelter in place.
