On the one hand, my 11yo is a pain in the ass with his Halloween costume ideas. Last year: “I wanna be black hole” (don’t ask what thoughts went through my mind); this year: “I’m going to be string theory” (smdh). On the other hand, absurd costumes are easy to make. You can do the first one with cardboard and duct tape to make the accretion disk that will be so heavy like a yoke that he’ll buckle under its weight in two blocks of trick or treating and I won’t know how to get out of this run-on sentence….Oh, and string theory? Pipe cleaners and tinsel.
