Actually, that’s the main reason for publishing any photograph in any magazine. It isn’t exceptional, it’s the norm. Lots and lots of photos; very limited space to print them in. Every single one of them is chosen based on maximizing reader response.

I am absolutely certain that was a truthful answer. I’m just saying it is a cynical use of her image.

Of course she just multiplied Newsweeks circulation by pointing it out on her blog. If 100 people go out and buy it based on the publicity she’s raised she will have single handedly tripled their circulation for the month.
