My favorite burger joint is a cardiac death-trap called Pete’s Drive-in. They make an old school giant burger, with a bun about the size of my Chevy pickup’s hubcaps, grilled on the same surface as the meat, with a thick slab of real cheese, and generous heaps of pickles, lettuce, etc. They will add bacon, chili, and God knows what else if you like. With their deep fried home-style onion rings, this has enough calories to jump-start a nuclear submarine and enough oil to grease its prop shafts.
