Helen Thomas is 89 years old. She knows she isn’t going to live much longer (maybe another decade if she’s lucky). She’s willing to accept that a certain number of people will hate her for her views on Israel, but she’s not about to say that she was wrong for saying that she feels they should leave Palestine (which, as we all know, isn’t an actual place).

She isn’t wishing evil upon anyone…but I won’t waste time defending her as her remarks were definitely out of line. She knows her comment has blown up into an international outrage. That’s why she retired…to help make this unfortunate incident pass more quickly. (and probably some other reasons for which we can only speculate)

Sorry, dude. She is advocating the mass dislocation of 7.5 million people. From their home country. She certainly is wishing evil upon someone. Her views are monstrous.

If your defense of Thomas is that she’s senile… well, she shouldn’t be a White House reporter anyway.
