I was a small business owner with 8 employees and gross sales of a bit over a million a year and I never could afford to pay myself even one forth of the $250,000 that would get me the 3% increase coming in 2011. I would get the tax cut like most of you. It takes a pretty big small business to make a quarter million and only a small percentage do.
What about the small business that is not incorporated, where the tax id number is the ss number of the owner, like say, maybe, a Stonemason?
I admit I never hit those numbers, which is why I am no longer at it full time, but I know many who did, as well as vending machine route owners, small garage owners, landscapers, builders…
raising taxes on job creators is down-right stupid.
