Since the data indicates that cause precedes effect by ca 800 years, the connection would seem weak.
It might seem weak if you ignore the present. Past epochs do not have anthropogenic factors to contend with. This is a lame canard, dealt with over and over again in multiple places.
That’s a level of certainty that doesn’t seems based on the data. The earth has had cycles of temperature in the recent human past. The little ice age is only one example.
My conclusions are backed by the data. The little ice age doesn’t refute anything. The last century-plus’ warming trend is superimposed atop long- and short-term natural cycles.
