It actually is seeing how people like Jindal, Roy Moore, and Greg Abbott are responding to this is pretty scary about the Republican view of law and public servants. I really did used to think the Christian Taliban thing was exaggerated a bit but these guys they test me.

American Taliban is a very accurate description of an important faction of the US Right. The only reason they aren’t out there preaching the desirability of stoning gay people and burning witches (i.e. women who have an abortion) at the stake is because those are losing political messages in contemporary US culture.
