I’d put Ledecky in that category too, especially with how there’s reports of how she “breaks” male swimmers who try to keep up with her split times.

She broke her own world record by seconds. She’s taken 10 seconds off the 800 from the prior record holder. She’s doing the same at the 1500 too.

And the 400.

Ledecky is amazing. But it’s her first Olympic Games, Bolt is in his third and Phelps in his fourth. She absolutely has a chance to do what they’ve done, but it is too soon to say she will. That’s what is really amazing about Bolt and Phelps, they’ve done this all over the course of a decade and a half
