This, despite Kentucky’s remarkable success rate in implementing the ACA. Of course, they rebranded it “Kynect,” to distance it from the Evil Oppressor. Democrats in most parts of KY are really just like Republicans — very church-oriented, conservative and still not too sure about this equality among the races thing. They remain Democrats because of family tradition, I suppose. Kim Davis is a Democrat, for example.

The meme that Democrats = liberals and Republicans = conservatives does not work for KY. Doubtless, it’s true for a lot of the Southeast.
