PROPOSAL: Mr. Trump will build an Air Force of at least 1,200 fighter aircraft…

The U.S. Air Force currently fields over 1,600 “fighter” aircraft, not including the ~290 A-10 “attack” aircraft in the fleet.

I should add, the current plan is to build over 1,700 F-35A “fighters” for the U.S.Air Force, including the ~70 odd already built
