Places like Florida are swinging to the reich right and it is important to know why.

We can say there is a history of racism and that is true but that can’t explain the changes towards the know-nothing right.

Some of the appeal of the likes of DeSantis is simply down to age.

Sad truth: as we age we lose the ability to make sound choices.

Not all people, just some people.

It is easy to scare seniors.

The bright-but-evil funding the likes of DeSantis use this for their benefit.

The bottom line is money (which is a proxy for power, or it literally power.)

Florida repugs: 5.1 million

Florida dems: 5 million

Other parties: 0.25 million

Unaffiliated: 3.8 million

Maybe don’t count Florida out.
