It only occurred to me as a straight single man that I COULD ACTUALLY LEARN to cook when I hit age 39 (I’m 48 now). Before then, I just assumed it was something I Couldn’t Do. Yes, I am/was an idiot. Anyway, at that point I got severely into cooking and was getting pretty good at it. I started collecting weird cookware (ancient cast-iron and unusual stainless steel, mainly) and was very enthusiastic about it until CHERNOBYL COVID hit. I quit going to the various markets to shop for fun ingredients to use in new recipes I’d never tried before, and reverted to nothing but eggs in the morning and frozen crap in the evening. I’m JUST NOW starting to try to cook properly again.

Nobody does or should care about any of this, but really all I wanted to say here was that I am sick of frozen food.
