Beer’s not good? Oh boy... And there are more than a few places in the City where you can obtain nearly any beer produced on the planet.

There’s a growing craft brew movement in and around NYC, but you’ve got to know where to look.

I can concede on the crowded part, but even driving can be quite fun. I find driving in NYC traffic to be stress relief.

There’s good beers in NYC! Never said their weren’t! (Ommegang is my favorite NY beer) But it’s not Portland. We’re literally inventing new styles of beer (Cascade dark ale!) that are recognized internationally here.

Portland is the best city in America for beer, it’s obsessed with beer, it has a homebrew culture, it has a DIY craft vibe. Maine has its lobster, Alaska has its salmon, Portland has beer :D
