Alot might be just bitterness and getting stuck in ways.

Earlier in life, I got convinced there was a culture war between Liberals and Conservatives. I also believe my side must win.

Various events since then compounded this view, with the Norway Terror Attack being particularly destabilizing. I remember for 2-3 months after the attack, I was venting at various Republicans on campus, calling them Terrorists and the like for it.

Of course, this attitude does have advantages. I am just as nasty against Salafists. In fact, after the first Boko Haram attack, I FB messaged the MSA President an article on it, with my attached statement being “I’m guessing you are happy about this.” He said he was offended by that attack, and said he rejected my statement. I can see through him though. And I’m going to be bringing the Imam into this now, after his little spiel on FB.
