my guess is that if he is convicted, he’ll be imprisoned right through his appeals. he would be an enormous national security threat. the things that he has been exposed to and likely could regurgitate if necessary would be really useful to anyone willing to offer him safe harbor for the divulging.

At most, they will order him confined to Mar-a-Lago pending his appeal. And if DeSantis is elected President in 2024, Trump will get a full pardon.
